Non-Executive Director

Stephen is a graduate in civil and structural engineering.  He began his career in engineering before switching to corporate commerce where he specialised in change management.  He semi-retired a few years ago to set up his own consultancy business.

Stephen attended Eight Ash Green Primary School, Stanway Secondary Modern School and North East Essex Technical College (now Colchester Institute).

He left the area after graduating from Sheffield University and returned in the 1990s.  He lives in Stanway with his wife Lesley who works at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.

Stephen is a governor of Prettygate Junior School.  His other voluntary activities include visiting Colchester Institute as guest assessor to help evaluate business students' final-year business plans and he is Chairman of the Careers Academy at Colchester Institute.

From April 2009, Stephen will be a member of the National Institute for Health Research Service Delivery and Organisation programme.
