At the March 2010 Board meeting the Operational Plan for 2010/11 was approved.
This sets out the key priorities, actions and underpinning financial plan to ensure that NHS North East Essex meets national, regional and local health expectations in 2009/10. It is one of the three main plans for NHS North East Essex and is accompanied by our:-
- Four-Year Health Strategy 2010-14 which sets out the plans for achieving our ambition to improve the health and well being of local people
- World Class Commissioning (WCC) Development Plan which sets out how we will improve and develop our knowledge, skills, behaviours and characteristics to achieve our mission of becoming a ‘World Class’ Commissioner
The Operational Plan sets out the specific commissioning plans for our three main priority areas of:-
- reducing health inequalities - improving mental health - optimising opportunities for children and young people
and for all our other service areas such as dentistry, stroke, end of life etc.
It describes the work that we are taking forward on improving the patient experience and patient safety, how we have prioritised investments for our commissioning plans for this year and how we will be performance managing the delivery of this plan.
